Glass and and porcelain insulators played a key role in the development of the telegraph, telephone, and electric power networks.
Today the historic items offered here are from The Hemingray Glass Company which produced insulators from 1884-1967. This particular style has raised lettering which reads “HEMINGRAY - 42” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” These individual insulators measure approximately 4.5” tall, and 3.75” across the base, and come in varying shades of aqua/blue/green.
